Summary: Staff was friendly and professional. If you are a foreigner that speaks English almost every sign I saw was translated. The amenities were on every floor and were quite convenient. There is an Izakaya on the property that serves a complimentary mixed sashimi dish if you show a room key. The atmosphere of the hotel was very pleasant. As we do not drive a car we did a lot of walking and took local transportation whenever possible. If you happen to stay here there are some local attractions such as Pineapple park and Fruitsland which I recommend for the kids (we enjoyed it as well). Most of what we experienced was by walking. The hotel is pretty close to the beach and the view is stunning. We did a lot of exploring by foot and found ourselves at old town Nago which led us to discover many hidden treasures. This was a trip we will not forget. Thank you again to the staff at Phoenix Park Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable.

Summary: Staff was extremely kind and helpful!! Also the location is perfect!!! Extremely close to the cat beach ~5 min walk!

Summary: The hotel room was functional, but the walls paper thin. It was self service, but that seems to be the norm for budget hotels in Japan these days. The door seemed like it was made of cardboard, and the walls paper thin, including the exterior wall. Could hear people talking in the parking lot as if they were standing beside you, and I was on the 4th floor. Could hear the wind outside, and worst of all the traffic. Make sure to bring earplugs if you want to get any sleep.
